Putin is toast . Whether it happens today, next week or next year, the end is here. Best of all, so disastrous is the war that all those who played up to him are finished too
The world has been changed by this more than by 9/11. That was an act by a small terrorist group, blown out of proportion by the demonic actions of George Bush and his supporters
But this was the action of one of the world’s great states, using its full military might against a neighbour. And not just any neighbour. If any two countries on earth could be described as siblings, it must be Ukraine and Russia. In fact, this is more like a powerful child attacking its parent in a fit of rage.
Unprecedented, and so will be what follows
The smallest countries in Europe will rearm and stay rearmed. Nobody will trust the big powers again
Putin has not just blown it for Russia. The Kremlin have blown it for all 5 Members of the UN Security Council. The Chinese Communist Party will hang Xi from a lamppost when they realise the huge damage he allowed Putin to do to their power. This is the start of the fall of Communism in China.
We will no longer trust “the big boys”. Not after Iraq, especially not after Trump and Putin has finished the Old World Order. We are all Israels now
But it is even worse for Russia. The USA, France and the UK will have no real problem with this. They may spend more on defence, or maybe less as the little guys get “tooled up”. But they are all friends in NATO now.
The strategic, nation-destroying truth for Russia is “Bye bye oil”
Germany has lectured everyone to go “Grune” for years while doing nothing itself. A lot of bluffs have been called by Putin’s lunacy and there are a lot of shamed faces. This cut with oil and gas will hold. Nobody will allow their country to be held to ransom as Russia is about to do in the winter of 2022/23 . Europe will not surrender – it will just cut completely with Russia
Russia has literally days to dig itself out of the hole – the grave – which the Kremlin has dug for it.
Polish prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki said his country plans to stop using Russian oil and gas by the end of this year and replace it with Norwegian supplies. It currently imports about 60% of its natural gas imports from Russia.
“There can be no repeat of the stupidity, the criminal, bad policy that made [Europe] dependent on Russia and gave it euros and dollars so that Putin could build his own war arsenal and attack its neighbours,” Mr Morawiecki said
And to make it even worse – and that is possible -, the split with Ukraine is complete. The divorce is total, and nobody wants the child – Lukashenko’s Byelorussia.
Russia could become the new North Korea to Ukraine’s South Korea. But the difference is that Russia cannot seal its border – everyone who can leave will leave. Leaving a huge wasteland for China to “absorb”
Putin’s legacy will define Russia for centuries – for the worse.
