Putin could easily be a deathly pale, corpse-like version of one of those lard-bucket traitors who betrayed so much of Africa after it booted out the European Empires
Russia too booted out a European Empire – the last one – the USSR. That may have been obscured because that empire was run from Moscow. But Russians were just as much a subject people of empire as any of the peoples of Africa.
The USSR pretended it was “their country”, but so did France in west Africa and Britain in India and the Caribbean. Only when the citizens of those countries took that lie seriously and went to the “Mother Country” did they really see what a lie it was
The same applied to Russians who tried to take the USSR at its word. Except they took another journey – to Siberia, to the Gulag and the firing squad.
It is no coincidence that the leaders of the USSR and “free” African countries got on so well. How they must have laughed a shared laugh at the way they spouted the language of freedom to their people while finding ever newer ways to enslave them and steel all their natural resources. Not that is unique to Africa or Rusbabwe. Just look at the odious Chavez regime in Venezuela – now almost a dynasty. How right one (honest) government minister in Venezuela was when he called Oil “the Devil’s Shit”. Lumps of rock, oil and gas can be sold by the scummiest thug as there is always a “no questions-asked” buyer. Until they see that the money they paid has bought the weapons to enslave them
Putin is a creature of that murderous Soviet system. He admits it proudly and wants it back. Just like the sons of deposed despots all over the decolonised world.
But in some ways Putin has gone even further. He has converted distorted memory of the USSR into a religious cult, with His Holy Self as Pope Vladimir the First, Pope Putin.
With his support for Syria, and through that Iran and then Hezbollah he has become the Moscow Mullah. Little more than a tool of any Muslim extremist who wants to make use of him – outcasts from humanity have so much in common – he sends young Russians to die on the opposite of a Crusade in the Middle East. Handing over Syria to the country – Iran – which brought the concept of the suicide bomber – an abomination to all true Muslims -to the modern world.
How could he do this ? Could anything be more Un-Russian ? You would think so, but Putin’s much shouted love of Russia is a scam, as we all know. Instead, he is part of a deep, dark thread which has run through the Kremlin’s never ending subjugation of the Russian people – itself a form of nationwide Domestic Violence – Nihilism.
It existed in Czarist times, and was a fundamental of Leninism, the need for change through violence and destruction. If violence is happening, then change will happen. Better violence than peace. Something which drives the political extremes in Europe but has always found a home in the Kremlin.
Always be violent and murderous even when it seems pointless. The point will become obvious only later – like a religious cult. Or you will die trying – again like a religious cult
Putin truly is the mad Mullah of Moscow and he will turn Russia red again – with the blood of murdered Ukrainians, and maybe even more Russians.
